February 2014 - After the flood [Back To Gallery]

Monday morning. River back to a normal depth.
Lots of water and ice still on camp grounds.
You can see how deep the water was over the volleyball court behind the Dining Hall by the ice on the pole and the water line on the trees.
Water was over the third step to the deck behind the Dining Hall. It almost was to the top of the path to the boy's cabins.
Ice between Dining Hall and old mess hall.
You can see how deep the water was on the pergola supports. A lot of debris was left in the gully.
Bob-o-link cabin was high and dry.
Water line on door of Oriole cabin.
Water line on Nunami cabin
Road between boy's and girl's cabins looking back toward the Dining Hall. Yes the water was clear up here.
Most of the water is gone but lots of ice remaining.
Water was front and back of Blackfoot cabin.
All the wet stuff on the floors are out drying and the water is mopped up. It doesn't appear to have gotten deep enough to get into the insulation.
The beach took a beating.
The Boy Scouts did a good job on the railroad ties. Too bad the dirt and sand washed out from under them.
