Mud Run!!!


Thank you to all who participated in the Mud Run fund raising event!

About Staff Background Checks


In 2012 we began performing background checks on staff members 18 and older. For those who plan to staff this year, please know that a background check is required every 3 years. So if you had a background check done last year you do not need to resubmit your information this year.

However, applicants who did not staff last year will need to submit their information this year. Thank you for understanding and cooperating with our pledge to camper safety.

2013 Staff Training March 16th


We will be meeting on Saturday March 16th at the East Hill church of Christ fellowship hall in York. We plan to begin around 9:00 and go until 4:00. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Please email eric.tremaine@gmail.com if you plan on attending.

The Staff Enrichment/Training Weekend, scheduled for January 18-20, has been postponed until later this Spring. More details to come.




2013 Fund Raising Events


Your support truly makes a difference!


This year there are two fund raising events scheduled in April. The first is a 5k (3.2 mile) Mud Run on Saturday April 13th. The second is the Annual Golf Fundraiser on Saturday April 20th.

Staff Enrichment Weekend


"Improving Your Serve!"


January 18th-20th, 2013


Mark your calendar and make plans to join us January 18, 19 and 20 for a weekend of fun and fellowship and experience camp in the winter time! Directors and Counselors, cooks and teachers, lifeguards and activities directors, however you like to serve, this weekend is aimed at helping you to "Improve Your Serve"! We will spend time together looking at what the ministry of Nebraska Youth Camp is all about, and what our "Serve" needs to look like.

Nebraska Youth Camp wouldn't function without all of you! One of the greatest gifts you can give is to donate your time and volunteer at camp! There are many staff positions available every year, as well as work weekends, etc.


3. Donate by Mail

We accept donations electronically through PayPal. Please be aware that PayPal does unfortunately take a small percentage of your donation.

Make it personal! When you come out to camp this summer feel free to personally deliver your donation to Jerry Munsell (our Treasurer, Caretaker, Webmaster, and Board Member) or any of the Session Directors. Also the black donation box is typically available during Registration.






Annual Dinner Meeting Sept 15th


The 2012 Annual Dinner will be held on September 15th at Nebraska Youth Camp. Please spend an evening with us as we review the 2012 camp season, and to take a look forward as we plan for 2013.


Board Election ballots have been mailed. Please contact us if you did not receive one. If you are not a corporate member, please consider becoming one.

Like last year, Kay Derr made a beautiful quilt of camp shirts to raise funds for the camp. She has put many many hours into the quilt. It will be auctioned off silently at the Annual Dinner. Thank you Kay! And thank you to our many generous donors, supporters, and volunteers!





Midwest Youth Rally "Whatever" Sept 1-3


A weekend filled with dynamic speakers, exciting activities, and camp friends! You won't want to miss it!

Registration information for churches and youth ministers:


  • Register your whole group by August 29th with Judy Tuttle. Make sure you have a boy/girl count.
  • Each camper must have a completed Health Form at the time of registration
  • Each group is responsible for bringing a tent.
  • Registration is $20 and begins at 2:00pm. Please no early arrivals.

Camp has finally started!





Staff Background Check Required


If you are applying to serve as staff for one of our youth sessions this summer, and you are eighteen years old or older, there is one additional step you will need to take in the application process. Please go to our Staff Info page, located under the Sessions menu item to submit your information.

After you fill out the online form it will be stored securely, and we will use that info to run a background check on you if you are chosen to serve at one of the youth sessions. The Nebraska Youth Camp Board of Directors feels that this is an important step to help ensure the safety of our campers.

Staff Information




Memorial Day


Memorial Day is a time to remember those who have sacrificed so much for us. This Memorial Day please consider honoring a loved one or fallen comrade with a Memorial Donation to Nebraska Youth Camp. We will post a record of your gift on the camp website (amount undisclosed) and will even display an image of your loved one if you would like. See our Memorials page for more information.


As a reminder, we are a non-profit organization operating solely on the donations of our supporters and have no paid staff or employees.





Project Camp Starts May 27th


If you have a desire to help get some things done, and/or to help mentor some hard working young people, please consider attending Project Camp!


If you are planning to attend Project Camp, please complete the Project Camp Application.





Men's Retreat May 18th-19th


Men. Yeah you. Come out to the camp this weekend for a get-together with just the guys. We will be looking at being Godly men, God's promises to us as Godly men, and Godly men in an upside down world.





Celebrate our 50th Anniversary April 28th!
